Wahsington DC Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment

At Sagebrush, you can escape the city of Washington D.C. and find healing in the scenic forests of northern Virginia rather than a DC drug rehab center. Our welcoming facilities are a peaceful, private oasis where clients are guided through the difficult early phase of recovery by caring and highly accessible staff members. Sagebrush offers both residential inpatient and outpatient treatmentservices.  We also strive to preserve the comfort, dignity and respect of our clients as they gain recovery tools and introspection in a retreat-like setting unique to the Washington, D.C. area.

Holistic Care for the Whole Person

Addiction is not universal. Treatment should not be either. Sagebrush provides highly individualized treatment with respect to the intricacies of our clients’ struggles, history and goals for the future. Our primary therapists work with no more than four clients at a time, ensuring that everyone gets the attention that they need in order to break free of unhealthy cycles. Spending several hours weekly with clients allows therapists to intimately understand the journey of each person, and customize treatments from our extensive list of therapies, including:

  • One-on-one counseling
  • Group therapy
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Nature-based activities
  • Yoga
  • Guided imagery
  • Personal training
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Meals prepared with specific healing foods
  • Art therapy
  • Life coaching
  • Jungian sand tray therapy
  • Music therapy and
  • Much more

For some, addiction is a way of coping with the oppression of urban living, which is why our treatment center is nestled snugly in the quiet woods of Virginia. For some, addiction has to do with stress, which is why we include treatment options like meditation, yoga and massage. Sometimes addiction has to do with lifestyle factors like diet and exercise, which is why Sagebrush offers nutritional guidance. Addiction frequently has an emotional basis, which is why we offer intensive one-on-one therapy. At Sagebrush, we believe treating addiction means healing the whole person.

Family Services and Focus

Part of our customized approach to treatment includes understanding the history of each of our clients, including their family. Addiction almost never affects just the person suffering; often there is fallout among the family as well. In support of our clients’ whole healing, we strive to heal the entire family unit, not just one part of it. Research shows the success of addiction treatment increases when the family is treated as well, in at least some capacity.

At our residential campus, we have built four components into our Family Therapy Program. They are:

  • Family Therapy for nuclear/and or extended family and our clients
  • Couples Therapy
  • Multi-family Therapy for all clients in treatment at Sagebrush and their families
  • Psycho-educational/process family group for each resident

Your Partners in Creating a New Life

Our dedication to our client’s health and success doesn’t stop when treatment ends. Our experienced staff creates a one-year plan for each client prior to discharge. We strive to keep clients engaged in the treatment process with our diverse offering of inpatient and outpatient services. We’ve found that clients who follow their post-treatment plan and engage with our outpatient services have an exponentially higher success rate.
