Addictions Counselor

Morgan is a native of Maryland where she currently resides with her husband. Morgan earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Morgan previously attended the University of Colorado, Boulder and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, where her interest in counseling began. Before beginning with Sagebrush, she worked in addictions counseling for adults and adolescents for 3 years with Phoenix House of the Mid-Atlantic, in the Intensive Outpatient Programs. She also has previous experience assisting with career counseling for adults with chronic mental illness. Morgan utilizes an integrative approach to counseling, using various treatment theories and interventions including motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the humanistic approach. She works with clients to identify strengths and successes so that their lives can be more positive, productive, and enjoyable. She values each individual’s story and enjoys assisting the client in gaining insight into what meaning they want from their lives.
